“Nothing is Impossible”

If it is not impossible, how then can it be a miracle?

Don’t take our words for it, come and experience it yourself!

Kbox, Cineleisure

Saturday, 17 October, 4pm

Presenting to you, our 2nd anniversary party!

A real story of how a stroke patient miraculously survived, against all medical evidences. While doctors had given up on her, Someone had not. Also, debuting for the first time ever, a melodious and meaningful song composed and performed by a group of talented young people.

On top of all these, life-changing testimonies that will touch your hearts.

How can you miss this?

See you there!

Lucy is from Indonesia. She found her job in Singapore and joined Jedi group about 1 years ago. We are all very amazed by how she overcame her culture and language barriers in Singapore in such a short time. She has improved her English greatly. She also possesses a very sweet spirit that many people admire. She is very  ’cute’, super warm and hospitable. People will never forget the way she welcome them to the Jedi caregroup. She has the quality and personality to attract new friends and even strangers rather easily. Last but not least, she loves God very much and is always ready to give her best to serve Him. Thank sis. Happy Birthday!!! May God bless you even more in the coming ages and years! By the way, the Jedi group celebrated her birthday on 20 May (actual date) evening at St. Andrew Cathedral after prayer meeting.

On Friday 22 May, Jedi 3 celebrated Yanyan and Lucy’s birthday at New York New York restaurant at Citilink. You can’t believe it we almost have 17 (double the size of present caregroup) joining us for the special caregroup dinner. Gong’s 3 Thai friends decided to eat somewhere else due to the overcrowded group. But we still have Ayu and her three Indo friends on holiday visit to Singapore.

Flag Day 16 May

Today’s Flag Day was great and awesome! Jedi has got approximately 30(?) people turned up to support this event. The target for each individual is collect min. $100 within 4 ~5 hours. I think most of us have hit our target and a dozen of us have likely hit at $100 ~ $200 region (or more). So collectively we must have raised more than three thousands dollars in such a short time to help needy students through Hope Center!

My team comprises of C+C’s siblings YuJun, YuFei (Christine’s brothers) & ChongYao (CN’s brother), CN, Mark and myself. We were all quite serious about the fund raising and we split ourselves to stand at different locations (at Toa Payoh Central) to approach as many passing strangers as possible. We felt thirsty and tired after about 1 hour of continual asking for donation. During the break, we had bubble tea to quench our thirst at Mark’s place which is nearby the area. After that, we continued on for longer duration. By the time we finished, everyone was already feeling very tired physically but happy about the result.

Time of sweat it out, eat it out and coolz it out…

Posted in Happenings on May 5, 2009 by jabezloh

Wat is the best way to sweat it out??

Definitely with a group of close and gd bro’s and sis’ . Jedi 1,2,3 come together for a time of exercise, food and cooling at East Coast! God has truly blessed us with a great weather for the time together. The group was split into the CyClers… and the BlaDERS... Of course.. the coolest of the group r the BLADERZzz

The Bladers

The Bladers

Well.. the most important thing is still that everyone of us had a good time exercising and fellowship.. laughing at one another in a good way.. haha  (><). It’s through some challenges faced in the cycling and blading that we see “great character & conviction” in each individual too.. Three Cheers~~~to all~~~~

Whats to best to eat  it and coolz it out??

OF course… it eating together and sharing the experiences and the fun that we have during the day with one another. It’s always a great and enjoyable time to be around with close Bros’ & Sis’ .. Even the food might be not too tasty but the LOVE, JOY and COMPANY simply just make FOOD TASTY!!!! After all the comping and munching of food.. its time to cool our bodies with Gui Lin Gao… (Turtle Bell Paste??!!! Definitely not!!) It’s a herbal paste that help to maintain youth, complexion as well as cooling internal heat… (as mentioned from the shop assistant).

Exercise, Great Company, Keeping Coolz.. Isn’t it a FRUITFUL & Healthy DAY, OF cos.. Yeah! For those who miss it.. out join us the next time and be Coolz and HealthyZ   (^∩^)

East Coast Park…

Posted in Happenings on April 13, 2009 by jabezloh

The sun and the sea and the wind.. who doesn’t like it all??? Nope Jedi 2 aren’t going for a dip @ the sea =P
Well rather its a time of firming up our muscles here and there. Well the most important thing is the bonding that was being built!! Never thought cycling and roller blading can be of so much fun. Well.. the more adventurous ones like Hendry, Melvin, Grace went roller blading.. whoosh whoosh.. but where’s the brakes??? I do admire their courage in trying blading.. haha.

Not only did they have fellowship with one another and i believe they had great fellowship with the earth as well.. What’s blading without a fall to the ground.. THe cautious ones which is the rest of us simply went cycling of cause.. It feels great with wind rushing upon our faces.. Hair was abit messed up though >_< .. not longer handsome n pretty for the remaining day..

THE BESt best PART.. is definitely food.. need food to replenish our stomaches.. I can see Jedi 2 really loves seafood and more seafood and more seafood… best of all its BBQ.. steamy hot and saliva inducing… With a fork on my right and a spoon on my left, a plate infront plus a coconut drink.. slurp slurp. yummy!! FOr those who miss it.. don’t fret.. next time.. come along!!!

Pasir Ris Outing

Posted in Happenings on April 13, 2009 by Ben Chia

Wow! It’s was a wonderful time off Pasir Ris Park on 28 Mar (Sat) ..

Thank God for everyone having a great time with games and the awesome food. :)

Thank God also for the very nice weather! Even though it started with cloudy sky even with signs of rain coming, Somehow the rain never came and what’s left was just a nice cloudy sky and nice breeze, making the activities that happened on that day very pleasant.

Last but not least, thank God for the efforts put in by our fellow brothers and sisters to make this event so fun. :)

Valentine’s Special – Ladies’ Princess Warrior Conference

Posted in Happenings on March 7, 2009 by christinechean

Many chose to celebrate their Valentine’s Day with his/her love ONE, but Jedis chose to celebrate this day with their love ONES, regardless of marital status! In Jedi, we all know that every Jedi has a special place in our hearts.

As the title suggested, all the Princesses gathered at Siew Min Palace for an ‘inside out makeover’ session. We started off with some ‘Virtue Tests’:

1. Funniest Face – To make a funny face to entertain guests
(one needs to be secure/humble to do this!)
funnyfaces

2. Graciousness – Walking with 5 books on your head

3. Patience – Picking up grains of rice with chopsticks
(the WHITE grains of rice are placed on a WHITE plate)
pick-soft-grain

4. Unity and gentleness – Peeling SOFT grapes and shelling pumpkin seeds which get smash really easily
peeling

All the Princesses passed the tests, half exhausted…haha. Thank God, we were refreshed with words of wisdom on Truths v.s Myths of BGR. Coupled with testimonies from some of the Princesses, we understood that God has His best for us at His timing. Through this series of activities and teaching, we have learnt to live a victorious life by being secure in Christ.

As we proceed to our ‘Dolling-up’ session on hair / nails / cosmetic / baking. The Princes arrived shortly after their Hercules’ Conference. Exhausted but excited, they rushed straight to the kitchen to prepare the precious Princesses Imperial Cuisine. In each of their dishes, it displays its own unique charm and creativity. We were impressed. Then, they present us with their secret weapon – gerbera daisy – which sets all our hearts melting. Such simplistic beauty of gerbera daisy perfectly represents the natural beauty of each Princess.

In reciprocate to this divine royalty treatment, the Princesses prepared lightly-crisped warm waffles and ice cream as desserts. The night concluded pleasantly with a smile on our faces, most importantly, on Jesus’ face as lives are transformed through warm-fellowship event.

This is how Jesus bonds us together with this brotherly/sisterly love.

Hercules’ Conferences (Of Brain & MusclEz, PLUS LOVEZZZ)

Posted in Happenings on February 22, 2009 by jabezloh

On the fateful DAY of 14th FEB 2009,  at Hercules LAir in the Gallop Gables, Hercules of different height, weight and sizes gather for the 1ST HERCULES CONFERENCE!!!! It kicked started off with a discussions of “Being a real MAN”, Pointers and tips were given out and after a long discussion, actions need to be taken, after flexing of Brain Muscles, now it is time to FLEX the Reals Muscles…..

Galloping in a car and taxi, muser-killers …opps!!!  Muscular HErcuLes’ darrived at MAcRitchie Reservoir…..
UNSTOPPable, UNDENIABLE, UNDeFeatable, with Great RESOLVE, they went bravely to Kayak. (Dun PLAY PLAY AHHH) Yes, of cos, with wobbling and yet taut muscles, we braved the calm waters of Macritchie. I must say it does for takes a lot of skill for everyone to balance and stand on the kayaks, well there of cos times when we need a “bathe” and splash into the water. Everyone had a fun time of racing each other from one end to another and taking up the challenge of changing partners in different kayaks.. There was so much fun and laughter, best of all we get to know each other better…

Well of cos, its Valentines Day, being GENTLE-cules as well, we finish the day by invading the Warrior Princesses Lair just to whipped up a voluptuous meal for them… Dishes with love and sweat pour out for them accompanied by flowers simply touched the hearts of everyone. Hey  I  can proudly say, Guys can cook very well too!!! Wonderful food, the sweet aroma floating about.. slurp…display of love & care for our sisters (Oh can’t you feel the love in the air, its all around!!), seeing the smiles, joyfulness, laughters, all the muscles aches and training that we had on the day were definitely worth it!!!!

HAPPY VALENTINES!!!

A Happy Reunion

Posted in Happenings on February 1, 2009 by Ben Chia

It was a great time of fellowship as JEDI unit came together on sat 31 Jan to celebrate Lunar New Year. We started of with a visitation to Joan’s place. Thank God for the wonderful food prepared by Joan and her mom as well as the food brought by Tian Tian as well. Really enjoyed the chicken wings prepared.

Next stop was to dine at East Coast Food Village. Thank God that my ex-colleague George also joined us for this event, it was a great time for catching up on previous times and getting to know how he was doing. Having dinner at Food Village was indeed a mouth watering food festa. There were many different varieties of food to choose from. The beautiful scenery as well as the atmosphere was one which I find would be hard not to fall in love with. :)

We did enjoy the topics discussed during the feast, ranging from current economic crisis to interesting stuff happening in each and everyone’s life.

After the meal, we went to have a relaxing stroll along the coastline.

I hope that you too have had a great time with your family and friends too.

Signing off and wishing everyone a happy new year on behalf of Jedi. :)
